About the authors
John Kane is an economist and co-host of the Tea for Teaching podcast. He’s a professor of economics and the director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching at SUNY Oswego. His research focuses on the economics of education, forensic economics, labor economics, and applied econometrics. He received his MA and PhD degrees from SUNY Stony Brook.
Rebecca Mushtare is a designer and co-host of the Tea for Teaching podcast. She’s a professor of interaction design in the Department of Art and Design at SUNY Oswego, where she is also the associate dean of Graduate Studies. Her research focuses on teaching and learning, civic engagement, inclusive design, and digital accessibility. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from SUNY Oswego and an MFA in Computer Art from Syracuse University.
